Raising the Dead

Raising the Dead...No Problem!

Righteousness is the ultimate key to functioning in the supernatural power of God. Confidence in God's power, however, must be developed through spiritual training.

For example, training wheels are used when a child learns to ride a bicycle for the first time. Likewise as a child of God, the Bible is your training manual. Your goal must be to become proficient at living by the Word so that you can begin doing the greater works that Jesus empowered you to do (John 14:12).

That's where righteousness comes in. It gives you the right to raise him or her from the dead should God prompt you to do so. Your prayers are powerful because you possess the power to speak life in the midst of death (Proverbs 18:21).

Develop Spiritual Perception

There are biblical principles by which you must live in order to activate God's power. As a believer, you are a vessel through which His power flows. Your job is to yield yourself so He can work through you.

Spiritual perception-the ability to hear and understand what God is saying to you-is vital. It is developed through daily contact with the Father in prayer and the reading of His Word. By doing so, you'll learn to recognize His voice and prompting like never before. As His sheep, you have a right to hear His voice (John 10:27).

As the Lord speaks to you, it's important to step out and do what He says. If He tells you to minister to your neighbor, do it. When He tells you to lay hands on your co-worker and pray for his or her healing, be obedient. As you recognize and obey His voice in the little things, continuing to be obedient when He tells you to raise somebody from the dead won't be a problem.

When you realize that you are made in the image of God and step out in your righteousness, you will see the miraculous take place. Because you are a son of God, the same anointing that rests on Jesus abides in you. If Jesus raised the dead, so can you. It's time to become skillful in the proper use of the Father's power and do the works that Jesus did!
